Before you arrive, there may be some information that would be helpful for you to know. Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and their Answers, that may answer some of the questions you’ve been thinking about. Q. What time is check in? For the PINK FLAMINGO and the KEYWEST HOUSE, the check-in time is no earlier than 3:00 p.m (EST). For the BLUE SERENITY property, the check-in time is no earlier than 4:00 p.m. For more detailed directions or to alert us of your late arrival, please contact Vic at +1 (202) 230-7494.

Q. What time is check out? For the PINK FLAMINGO and the KEYWEST HOUSE, the check-out time is no later than 9:00 a.m. (EST).  For the BLUE SERENITY property, the check-out time is no later than 10:00 a.m. (EST). A late departure may be subject to an additional fee equal to one night's room and tax.

Q. Do you have Occupancy limits? Each of our homes or residences have specified the maximum number of persons allowed, excluding infants. Maximum allowed occupancies are stated in all accommodation descriptions and are based on the number of bedrooms and existing bedding offered. Roll-away or inflatable beds are not allowed unless for an infant.

Q. How many people can sleep in a 2-bedroom unit? Our 2-bedroom units sleep up to six persons.

Q. How many people can sleep in a 3-bedroom unit? Our 3-bedroom units sleep up to eight persons.

Q. Is there Internet access? There is wireless Internet (WiFi) throughout the property.

Q. Can I park my Commercial Truck or Vehicle or Motorhome or Trailer on the property?  Unfortunately, commercial vehicles or trucks  or Motorhomes or Trailers are not permitted in our parking lots.  Please make arrangements to park them elsewhere in approved parking outside of our property, and arrange shuttle transportation to and from the property from your vehicle. This is in accordance with the Filed Documents of Vic's Love Shack Property Management, LLC, which govern the rules of operation these properties.

Q. Is there a Grocery Store close to the property? A well-stocked grocery is within walking distance of all of our properties. (see https://www.facebook.com/siestamarket/).

Q. Is there a Liquor Store close to the property? Siesta Village Liquors is next to the Siesta Village Market and is well stocked with wine, beer, and spirits. (see https://www.facebook.com/siestavillageliquors/).

Q. Do you allow House Parties? Absolutely no house parties are allowed! Use for occasions such as weddings, receptions, or parties that  increase the stated occupancy—even for a few hours—must be requested in writing and must be approved on writing by the management prior to occupancy. Failure to fully disclose (or misrepresentation) of such actions is cause for immediate cancellation of the reservation with forfeiture of all funds and guests vacating the premises. We cater to family groups and cannot accept reservations for vacationing students. We do not rent to teenagers with or without chaperones. Singles under the age of 25 unaccompanied by a parent will not be permitted to occupy the premises and will be subject to forfeiture of deposit.

Q. Do you charge Cleaning Fees? Please be advised that all of our properties charge a cleaning fee in addition to the rental rate and that this fee is non-refundable. This fee covers full cleaning of the property after your departure.

Q. Do you require Reservations? Early reservations are highly encouraged and accepted up to 12 months in advance.

Q. What are your Rental Rates based on? Weekly rates are based on a seven (7) night rental. Daily rates and special packages are sometimes available. Winter (up to three month) monthly rates are available, and  include housekeeping service weekly.  All rates, fees and policies are based on availability, subject to applicable sales tax and subject to change without notice. Certain restrictions may apply. Any unused portion of a rental package non-refundable.

Q. Do you have any Age Restrictions? No rentals will be made to individuals under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of all deposits. Further, the party will either not be permitted to check in and will be asked to vacate the property.

Q. Do you offer Housekeeping Services? We provide you a clean property stocked with a starter kit of appropriate supplies, If the supplies are depleted and need to be replaced  during the rental period, you are responsible for replacement. We provide you with a washer and dryer for your personal use. For stays of seven nights or longer you will receive a mid-stay linen exchange and general premises clean-up. This service includes a change of bed linens, towels, replacement of amenities, removal of trash, vacuum, and loading of the dishwasher. Additional cleaning services may be arranged during your stay for $35.00 per hour when scheduled 72-hours in advance.

Q. Can I bring Pets? We know and understand that you love your Pets, however Pets are prohibited in all of our homes and residences. We are happy to recommend area kennels should you require this assistance. Failure to follow our Pet Policy will result in a minimum $250 charge for additional housekeeping and/or damages.

Q. What happens if my rental accommodation becomes unavailable? If your accommodation becomes unavailable (i.e. residence sold, removal from rental program, acts of nature, mechanical failures or other reasons beyond our control) we will make every effort to substitute a comparable residence. If a comparable home is not available, you will have the option of selecting from other available accommodations at the published rate.

Q. What is your smoking policy: We maintain a non-smoking property and smoking is prohibited inside all all of our homes and residences. Failure to follow smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 charge for additional housekeeping and/or damages.

Q. What happens if I leave something behind? Although we cannot be held responsible for items left behind, we do make every effort to locate and return forgotten items to you. If notified, found items will be sent by charging shipping fees to a major  credit card.

Q. What happens if a Hurricane Evacuation is ordered? A refund of any unused portion of your stay will be issued in the event of a mandatory evacuation of Siesta Key or Sarasota County. There are no refunds due to inclement weather or voluntary evacuations.

Q. Is there any Construction in the area? Siesta Key is a thriving beach community and construction of various types (including property maintenance) periodically  occurs, typically starting at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We will make every effort to notify you of any nearby construction at the time of booking but please keep in mind that we are unsure of construction start dates and completion dates.

Q. Do you require Security Damage Deposits? A $500.00 to $1,000.00 (depending on the accomodation) Security/Damage Deposit is required on all home or residence rentals. This Security/Damage Deposit does not apply to rent. The person registered to the unit has full responsibility for all damages—both inside in the unit and to the property—caused by anyone in your unit during your stay. This responsibility may exceed the amount of the Security/Damage Deposit.  All rental units are inventoried and inspected before and after each occupancy.  You will be held responsible and charged accordingly for any damage, repairs or neglect of the home or residence you are renting. This includes but is not limited to smoking, pet occupancy, and theft. We will refund the Security/Damage Deposit within 30 days after check-out, less any charges for cleaning or damages.
